Hamersley’s Bistro — Boston, MA
Hamersley’s I (right): This first restaurant for an accomplished chef successfully gives the feel of a French bistro updated, in a small space and with a limited budget. We restored the existing “Terrazzo” floor discovered during demolition.
Hamersley’s II (above): The restaurant’s French and American cuisine is reflected in the subdued, traditional design of the space, which was previously used for light manufacturing. A warm color palette, simple lighting, and the open kitchen along one side unify the space. The ceiling beams are recycled from a Connecticut barn.
